I've been around amazing cooks all my life! My mom always let me help her in the kitchen, and I remember frying plantains before I was tall enough to reach the stove. I started seriously cooking during school because I was really picky and didn't like the meal options, and I haven't looked back since!
Have fun! I truly believe your mood affects your food. Enjoy what you're doing in the kitchen and don't worry too much about following the recipe exactly or measuring everything. Just go with the flow and enjoy yourself. I generally listen to music when I cook to get into my groove. If nothing else, you'll have a lot of fun and possibly create something delicious.
I photograph and edit all my photos myself. I do most of my edits in Adobe Lightroom, and some in Photoshop. I taught myself how to use Lightroom, so I still have a lot to learn, but I like to edit photos from scratch because I think it looks better than relying on presets. There are a ton of videos on the internet that are really helpful if you're just starting out.
I'm a lawyer by day so I'm generally busy working. Cooking is a great way to express my creativity and shut my mind off from work for a bit. It's also an awesome hobby to have because you can always feed yourself and your friends.
I love to travel! I'm always excited to visit new places to try new food and experience a different culture. I'm also trying to start collecting art, which is a whole new experience to try and find what calls to me. You'd think someone who takes a ton of pictures of food would be super artsy, but I am so not!
It's a surprise 😀
I have enjoyed sharing new recipes and ideas on this blog and I look forward to bringing tons of new recipes and surprises for years to come.
